The space
Welcome to the King Salmon Yurt — a spacious and elevated glamping experience nestled near the Shuswap River and Mabel Lake.
Designed for comfort and flexibility, this yurt is perfect for couples, friends, or small families. Inside, you’ll find a cozy and thoughtfully styled space with the option of a king bed or two twin beds, making it easy to tailor your stay. As you relax, you can look up and enjoy natural light (and nighttime stargazing) through the central dome skylight.
A small kitchenette area includes a Keurig coffee station, dishes, utensils, and essentials for simple meals and morning coffee. Fresh linens and towels are provided for a comfortable stay.
Step outside onto your large private deck — one of the standout features of this space. There are multiple areas to enjoy, including a dining table, lounge seating, and a covered outdoor kitchen equipped with a BBQ, burner stove, prep space, and sink. It’s the perfect setup for cooking, relaxing, and spending time outdoors.
This is a glamping-style experience that blends comfort with nature. While there is no full indoor kitchen or traditional home setup, everything you need for a relaxed and memorable stay is right here.
The shared shower house is located just a short, well-lit walk from the yurt and includes a shower room and a separate toilet room.
Located in beautiful Mabel Lake, you’re just a 5-minute walk to the Shuswap River and about 10–15 minutes to Mabel Lake, including the public beach and boat launch. Enjoy nearby swimming, boating, fishing, river floating (in safe conditions), and a 9-hole golf course just minutes away.
Tucked at the end of a quiet private lane, the property offers a peaceful, nature-filled setting while still being connected to the community by nearby walking and golf cart paths.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the King Salmon yurt, including the private deck, outdoor seating area, and covered outdoor kitchen with BBQ, burner stove, and prep space.
The shared shower house is located just a short walk away and includes a separate shower room and toilet. It is well lit and easily accessible at night.
You’re welcome to enjoy the large grassy areas around the property for relaxing, picnics, and stargazing.
Please note this is a shared property with other yurts. We ask that guests respect the privacy of others by staying within their designated yurt space and common areas. The lower ungrassed area and cabin are private and not for guest us
During your stay
We live on the property in the nearby cabin and are available if you need anything during your stay.
We prefer to be contacted by text, but we’re close by and happy to help with anything that comes up or to answer any questions.
In the evenings, we’re often outside enjoying the space and are always happy to say hello — but we also respect your privacy and space.
Other things to note
There is no cell service in the area and limited access to stores. A small local convenience store offers a basic selection of food, drinks, ice, liquor, and essentials.
There is no gas station nearby (only boat fuel), so we recommend filling up and purchasing groceries in Enderby or along your route before arriving.
This is a camping-style experience, so there is no full fridge — a cooler is recommended for storing food and drinks.
Propane is provided for the BBQ and fire pit.

The Space
Glamping yurt. Staying in a round space where you can look up and see the clouds and stars from the comfort of your bed. The beds have very high quality bedding. Why just camp when you can Glamp! Small kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. There is a bbq and a small burner. Propane fire pit to light the mood outside on the deck complete with patio furniture and some games. This is a beautiful area in Mabel Lake. It’s a 2 minute walk to the Shuswap river and a five minute walk to the lake. There are many beaches and areas to explore. The area is most know for boating, fishing, floating down the river (only in safer water), white water rafting, and the 9 hole golf course is only 5 min. away. The property is large and away from the busy summer community but close enough to all the action. The shared bathroom and shower house is located just out the back door.
Guest Access
You can enjoy the large upper half of the property we just ask our guests to not go on the lower rocky, non grassed area. The cabin, RV’s, tents, small Yurt including the deck and chairs are private.
Other Things to Note
There is no cell phone service and no real stores in the area. There is one small convenient store with small selection of food and drinks but sells ice, liquor and essentials. There is no gas station but there is boat gas. Buy your food in Enderby or before. Have coolers if you have more than a bar fridge can fit. You should bring your own propane tanks for bbq and fire place. We will provide one with a charge. More worth it to bring your own.
Booking / Cancellation Policy
With our short summer Operating season we require a $100 deposit to hold bookings.
Deposit will be nonrefundable unless cancellation inquiry is 35 days before date of Reservation.
Cancellations 14 days or more before reservation date will be refunded 50% Anything 14 days and under will Not be eligible for a refund.
